The Club’s first fundraiser of the year is on Saturday 9th May at The Bay Horse in Cherry Burton. A night at the races with a chance to flutter whilst supporting Cherry Burton Cricket Club and the club’s plans to help develop the club and junior cricket in particular.

The evening starts at 7:30pm and we will have nine races, the ‘owner’ of each winning horse will receive  a prize and, of course, you may get lucky and bet on the winning horse too!

Please come and support the club!

So we’re not going to Dubai but the club does offer a great place to play your cricket! League and friendly fixtures during the week, league cricket on Saturdays and Sundays with a really friendly squad, what more could you want?!

Cherry Burton CC can proudly announce that they have been short listed for the International Community Cricket Trophy!

Village Cricket

Representing all that’s best in village cricket!

The International Community Cricket Trophy is a new competition jointly organised by the MCC and the  International Cricket Council (ICC) which is intended to showcase all that is good with community cricket and grass roots cricket. The finals will see community teams from all over the world competing for the trophy in Dubai. Up to twenty members of each club/team will be flown out, all expenses paid for the two week tournament!

Notes for Editors –

Cherry Burton Cricket Club is a village club that currently has three teams but has ambitions to grow further. It is the typical village club located in the heart of East Yorkshire with a history of supporting both junior and senior cricket. The club objective is to provide a safe, friendly place for members of all ages, sex or ability, to play cricket within the laws and spirit of the game. We aim to help players improve their game, and be the best they can, and to ensure that everyone gets to play in matches as often as possible.
