The annual Cherry Burton Cricket Club awards evening took place on 11th November 2016 at The Bay Horse in Cherry Burton and was very well attended by members and their guests.

A reminder to all members and any one else who is interested in playing for Cherry Burton CC this year that pre-season training and nets continues on Monday nights at Sirius Academy North, Hall Road, HU6 9BP from 7:30 – 9pm Monday 21 March.
Cherry Burton CC pre-season training gets in to full swing with indoor nets at Sirius Academy North, Hall Road, HU6 9BP from 7:30 – 9pm on Monday 11 January until Monday 21 March. As well as the usual batting and bowling practice we will be introducing the BOLA cricket bowling machine as well as additional fielding drills. Not a lot you would think, however 12 members of Cherry Burton Cricket Club will take their first steps into the ring to take part in a fundraising event to improve the facilities at their cricket ground.
First team Captain, Stew Scott said, ”We have 6 fights lined up and each boxer has been training hard over the last 10 weeks to ensure that they are as fully prepared as they can be. I’ve been really pleased with the level of commitment that each of them has shown and we are looking forward to have a great night.”
Club Treasurer, Ashley Godber said, “Nothing compares to the Adrenaline of fighting like a professional in front of a crowd cheering your name. We still have tickets left but they are flying out.”
The event takes place at O’Rileys on Beverley Road, Hull from 6pm on Saturday 5th December.
